Challenge and implementation
In addition to the day-to-day minor technical difficulties, the main challenge was the large number of service providers involved. Wishes and requirements of existing partners, the search provider, the payment provider and ZGONC itself had to be reconciled and implemented.
Numerous system connections and interfaces were set up – all with the aim of guaranteeing an optimal user experience and easy handling regarding the backend. An increase in the degree of automation makes work easier for everyone involved.
In the new webshop, users can make their purchases online, create shopping lists and enjoy 360-degree animations. It is also possible to reserve products for pick-up at the various stores. An increase in sales and orders just a few days after the go-live proves that the relaunch was a resounding success.
Outlook for the future: ZGONC – the relaunch was only the beginning
ZGONC has big plans for 2021: In addition to ongoing development, a concept for optimizing web performance and integrating jö online is already in the works.
