From the website to the social media presence

The challenge

What happened so far? Quite a lot! Bösch’s digital transformation strategy was successfully implemented. As a result, the full-service provider benefited from simplified product maintenance and convenient add-on modules for customer-specific pricing and product ranges. Customers were also impressed with the responsive B2C website.

Only the design left a few things to be desired. After a good eight years, it was time to give the website a facelift in 2020. The challenge? The new design had to look fresh without deviating too much from the existing one.

Another challenge was to optimise the system finder for configuring heating systems. This tool supports B2B customers in putting together suitable ventilation systems – a matter that can become quite complex due to the large number of selection options.

Implementation

To achieve the desired outcome, concentrated expertise was required: The creative heads of the Frontend, Backend and WPO teams as well as the content experts of punkt & komma worked together on a successful implementation.

To round off the fresh visual appearance of the website, the content received a "relaunch light". In other words, the navigation was revamped with the interests of B2C customers in mind, and the individual pages were optimized accordingly.

To ensure that the fresh new website received the attention it deserves, the big online advertising drum was beaten. Bösch’s Facebook and LinkedIn channels enjoy ongoing social media management by punkt & komma: from content ideation and creation to consulting and support.

Smooth sailing across the board

The results are impressive. After only a short time, the website showed an upward trend in rankings and visitor numbers. On social media, the developments exceeded all expectations: On Facebook as well as on LinkedIn, the number of followers rose sharply from when support started in February 2021 until July.

Increases of up to 3,600 percent can be seen in key figures like the engagement rate and page impressions.

In the B2B area, customers and Bösch are equally pleased. To facilitate the selection of the appropriate heating system, a schematic drawing is used, which expands based on the selected options. In addition, possible choices of ventilation units and suitable accessories are displayed. An advantage in terms of maintenance is provided by the option to configure selections and questions independently.

Always moving forward: plans for the future

Resting on one's laurels is out of the question for Bösch. New content pages, web performance optimisations as well as targeted social media campaigns will follow shortly. Other fresh ideas are already in the works as well. Among the possible options: a blog, photo and video productions or B2C campaigns, for instance. One thing is for sure: 2022 will be an exciting year!
