There's a new kid on the elements customer block: the holiday paradise of Flumserberg in Switzerland. Their desire for a website relaunch was great and the objectives as clear as the views from the summit on a sunny day:

a clear presentation of current information about the weather, the webcams as well as open cable cars and lifts
a dynamic and modern design for an optimal customer experience

Challenges and implementation
Sometimes life can be a bowl of cherries: All wishes could be met and implemented as desired. However, one major challenge regarding this project was the Corona pandemic. Important appointments took place exclusively online, in a digital format: from getting to know each other to the design presentation, Pimcore training sessions and the project coordination with the different providers of weather, facilities and ticketing information.
It was all worth it, though! The outcome of the collaboration is a uniform and, above all, user-friendly online presence for the mountain railway company and ski school. This not only makes our client very happy but also all those who buy their tickets online.
Highlights of the new website
An absolute highlight, especially from the users' point of view, is the fully integrated ticket shop including Swisspass integration. The Swisspass is a keycard for almost all public transport services in Switzerland. In the new ticket shop, purchased ski tickets can be easily downloaded onto the Swisspass. This means that you no longer need an extra card. Super convenient, right?
Tediously entering all user data was yesterday: Thanks to the newly created user profile option, users can access their order history at any time. Additional tickets can be purchased with just a few clicks and without having to re-enter any data.
A look into the future: Flumserberg – the journey is the reward
The new ticket shop has immense potential, which should definitely be exploited in the coming project phases. And there are still some possibilities in terms of marketing automation and personalization ...
