New design, easy navigation

Linz Airport

Fasten your seat belt and put your seat in the upright position.

The challenge

Linz Airport has been part of international air traffic since the summer of 1955. In the business areas of scheduled, charter and cargo air traffic, Linz Airport has established itself as a force to be reckoned with and has been pursuing an impressive development for decades.

Ready for takeoff: The new and appealing design of the website puts user needs at the forefront. Especially the intuitive navigation of Linz Airport’s website creates a unique and pleasant user experience.

The starting point for the relaunch was an improvement of mobile page display and an update of the website in general. This resulted in the wish for a fundamental further development of the entire online presence.

Linz Airport – off to a flying start

Despite ongoing Covid-19 turbulences, elements, punkt & komma and Linz Airport never lost sight of their destination – a new, state-of-the-art website.

Between the kick-off in 2019 and the go-live in 2021, emerging challenges were overcome, and the project was successfully implemented.

For the website relaunch, a variety of other goals were pursued in addition to a new online presence:

Live information updates

  • overhaul of the online magazine
  • better integration of content (e. g. pictures, videos, etc.)
  • improvement of the mobile version of the website
  • optimization of the website navigation for easy orientation
  • enhanced UX and usability
  • expansion of the content to include cargo flights
  • improved SEO performance, rankings, and visibility

Well-positioned worldwide

With customers and passengers from all over the world, it comes as no surprise that Linz Airport's website is aimed at an international target group. That's why the website was implemented in three languages: German, English, and Czech.
Other highlights:

  • fully responsive website framework

  • magazine/blog

  • a new "live from the tarmac" webcam integration

Top-flight together: elements and punkt & komma continue to work with Linz Airport, and the turbines keep turning! We’re already working on the new “myairportlinz.at” microsite.
