ORTOVOX

Digital transformation for the pioneers in mountain safety

Since the founding of the company in 1980, ORTOVOX has been an integral part of the mountain sports scene. Every single product stands for innovation, design and high comfort. It's obvious that these values must be apparent in the online presence of ORTOVOX as well.

So the reason for and goal of the relaunch in 2019/2020 was the introduction of a central PIM shop system for the Schwan Stabilo Group. It consolidates four brands in one system: ORTOVOX, Deuter, Maier Sports, and Gonso. The new system was also the basis for the creation of a new multi-client shop for the European market.

Challenge and implementation

The objective was thus quickly defined: to create a uniform system that would provide the space and flexibility for dynamic development and innovation. Of course, this brought with it a handful of challenges that needed to be mastered. Certain processes within the group had to be standardized and aligned.

Another major challenge was the complex country and language system and its maintenance. Almost every country in the EU has its own country store, and the content is available in four different languages. Hence, a system was developed to simplify content and data maintenance. Now all content can be easily managed and maintained in four languages and 32 country versions.

Additional highlights of the new webshop

  • DAM system for service providers and partners
  • real-time monitoring of stock levels
