Verbier 4 Vallées

All the information you need from a single source!

The challenge

An old company site here, a stand-alone ticket shop there, and then there was also the site of the tourist board: Information on the "Téléverbier" mountain railways could previously only be found on different websites and in different areas. The consequence: For users, the search for information turned out to be a time-consuming affair – on partly outdated websites. What was missing was a holistic website for the mountain railways that could serve as a platform for customers.

The goals that needed to be achieved through a separate mountain railways website were clear from the beginning:

  • a new, contemporary website that clearly presented all contents, products and services of the mountain railways

  • a clear presentation of all product categories in the online shop

  • an increase in online turnover, e. g. for ticket sales

The desire for a new, vivid online presence was great and the wish to bring it to life as quickly as possible was even greater. The challenge: numerous features had to be implemented within a very short time.

Award-winning:

Implementation

For this ambitious project, a team full of elements experts was assembled: Three creative minds of the Design team gave it their all to present the content provided by the two content experts in a visually appealing way. Another two people from the Web Performance Optimisation team made sure that the content was search engine friendly and optimised in terms of a holistic customer experience. A total of seven frontend and backend experts were deployed for various adjustments and developments.

Two project managers kept an eye on things throughout the entire project: They tracked the progress, ensured compliance with set deadlines, and acted as a point of contact for the client.

Numerous development hours later and nine months after the kick-off, the time had finally come: On 22 June 2021, "the switches were flipped" and the website went live in three languages.

Verbier 4 Vallées: More than just nice to look at

Even at first glance, the website captivates users with its high-performance, clean and modern design. And thanks to the optimised content structure, it's easy for them to find their way around.

Other highlights of the new website:

  • content commerce integration for seamless integration of products and the booking process
  • B2C shop with dynamic ticket pricing, events, activities, and packages
  • B2B shop for select partners
  • personalised newsletters based on user segmentation
  • quick and easy creation of additional pages thanks to the website’s multi-framework approach

With a customer profile for the webshop, users now see everything at a glance: from their order history to the benefits of an annual pass. By the way, the staff of the mountain railways are happy about the B2C shop as well: The booking tool, the cancellation tool, voucher voiding and up-to-date ticket availability management make their daily work a lot easier.

What's next – a look into the future

Work is already underway on other functionalities of the customer profile, additional personalisation options and the implementation of a voucher tool. An important milestone is also the integration of accommodation booking – another step to expand the offer on the website.
