An outdated website and confusing content – these were the main reasons for the relaunch of Wever & Ducré, a Belgian label for design lighting. For one, it was hard for users to find all the product information they were looking for on the old website. The brand also didn’t have a b2b online shop. Plus, the website needed a new overall design to live up to the products’ sophisticated style as well as to modern user experience needs.
The goal: a new look & feel for the entire website, plus an integrated shop for business clients. The relaunch included optimizing the web design as well as adjusting technical features and content.
straightforward product presentation and filter options
clear presentation of included accessories
an elaborate and well-structured design
complex pricing for b2b customers
Implementation

After one and a half years of development, the relaunch kicked off with a new CMS frontend. In January 2021, the first shop features were opened for selected test customers. Since November 2021, all Belgian customers can use the online shop.
Wever & Ducré: a sophisticated design for products and the website
The relaunch didn‘t just appeal to online users: elements received a coveted Multimedia Award in the “Website & Microsite” category for the site’s design.
